The hs-TnI assay allows for more accurate and precise troponin I results at very low concentrations, thereby shortening the time interval required to identify myocardial injury and permits for the use of an accelerated chest pain algorithm for rapid rule-out/rule-in of acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
