Stanford’s world-class Anatomic Pathology team supports our subspecialty pathology services in providing patients with cancer and non-cancer diagnoses. There is a patient behind each specimen and the valuable work that our team does, from Pathologist Assistants to Histotechnicans, helps each of those patients get the answers they need to move forward with treatment, while working in a stimulating and fast-paced environment.

Our talented Clinical Laboratory Scientists and Medical Laboratory Technicians handle thousands of specimens each day, analyzing, testing and processing of specimens across a variety of different specialties. Their expertise, training and attention to detail is a large part of the foundation that supports our commitment to patient care.

Stanford’s Phlebotomists serve as the face of the organization to many of our patients and their quality care and customer service give our patients peace of mind that their samples are in good hands.

Our laboratory support team members play an important role in our organization. From case and specimen accessioning to slide management, our lab support positions play a pivotal role in ensuring that our patients receive an accurate and timely diagnosis.
