Specimen Submission
Specific collection and handling instructions for each of our laboratory tests performed at Stanford Health Care can be found by searching the Test Directory. Test Requisitions

Critical Values
Critical Values are defined as values that are outside the normal range to a degree that may constitute an immediate health risk to the individual or require immediate action on the part of the ordering physician. In addition to satisfying accreditation and licensing requirements, programs are based upon the premise that these endeavors are a significant mechanism for growth and improvement.
