SPECIMEN

PROCESSING

RESULTS

October 13, 2025: Stanford Health Care Clinical Laboratory has temporarily suspended lipoprotein (a) testing due to a reagent shortage from the manufacturer (Roche). All other components of the panel will continue to be processed in-house with the expected turnaround time. The lipoprotein (a) component of the panels will be automatically ordered and collected separately for ARUP send-out testing. See Lipoprotein (a) for more details.

Regardless of whether patient is fasting or not, lab will still accept lipid specimen and run them. Phlebotomist needs to alert the chemistry team that specimens were collected under non-fasting conditions.
